Hey! I make techno! But, you are right, way too much on here and it gets way too much attention like Hades0013 said. I usually put my shit in the misc. genre since most of it is fusion electronic gobbledygook. I just checked out your latest submission. Good shit. I was wondering how you make your music. Techno can be fine and all as part of the microcosm of all generas of music here, but seriously I wish there were more diversity. I have to dig to find other types of music. Classical, Heavy Metal, and others.

the all time top scoring is full of techno and other shit like that. everyone has FL studio, but they don't know anything about metal! only techno! they don't even know what is FL slayer!

Thats because to create a techno song requires no talent. Just some syths from fl studio played in a random tune. with an "Un, Tss, Un, Tss" beat in the background.

Metal on the other hand, requires alot of talent cos of metals complexity and charisma. Metal requires talent at playing real guitar rather than a shitty synth which that person didn't even create e.g like techno. Or a talent at getting a great sounding synth.

Metal needs to stay right where it is in the world. Needs to stay with the people that respect it. I dread the day when metal becomes... common. netty-swobb just about said it all.

Not only does techno take the majority, stupid things are taking up the best ever, like things that are far from the best ever. Shit makes me sad.

Oh, woops. I didn't see the word 'audio' in Newgrounds audio portal sucks. (How stupid am I?) Your right. There is too much techno. I guess people just summit techno because it is easy to make (in my opinion). Still, it doesn't give them the right to make flash developers spend hours looking for a decent song.

I do think that techno is great (in small doses) like with most other genres, but Newgrouds, at least I think, is more foucused around techno because 1. It's able to be catchy without much effort. 2. It is generally easier to make than other types of music (even with programs such as garage band). and 3. Well... I guess the people around here just seem to like techno here for some reason, but Newgrounds does need to branch out a bit (a lot) for the rest of the music community to take them seriously in that respect.

Cant agree more. The AP is now populated solely by immature downvoting 10- year- olds with FL studio. Every fucking song is either a shitty techno song, or "epic video game remix". Neither are EVER original... 99.9% are way too heavy on FL's default drum loops, or are just MIDI ripoffs from sites like vgmusic.com. I dont really care what these idiots have to say about my songs anymore, its just a convenient place to upload my tracks :P

there is alot of techno i agree, but i think that most dance and trance songs on the tops are good and have great music theory involved!

Personally i enjoy techno to an extent. So i like their audio portal :) i think that all of the metal and rap crap is gay and retarded tho...
